Knitting the Daelyn Pullover is so much easier if you know a couple tips and tricks to start your project with.

It’s always great to talk with someone who has the experience of working on a project before you. Often times you can pick up ways to avoid the little places that give you problems. The Daelyn Pullover, designed by Isabell Kraemer, specifically has some amazing shaping which is what gives it the stylish minimalist look but still fits beautifully. The shaping that takes the most concentration is at the beginning neckline and sleeve set up. You're going to love this neckline fit but first you have to do some short rows and concentrate! Here are a few top tips to help you along in your Daelyn Pullover KAL adventure!
Make sure you have stitch markers to start the set up row.
After casting on and joining in the round the short row and raglan shaping(increases) begin immediately and simultaneously. This can seem a bit mind bending at first but be assured the pattern is correct and follow it exactly as written. An enlarged copy may help.
Develop an 18 row tally sheet so that you can check off each completed short row. It does not have to be complicated but it does have to be exact.
The beginning of the round stitch marker is your friend! Make sure your beginning of the round (BOR) marker is distinctly different than the other other. If you are lost in the short row section, you can always find your way back to the BOR marker.
Wrap your head around the fact that although you have joined the work in the round, you’re doing the short row section which means you’re knitting flat (or back and forth) and not the whole round. Because you are knitting flat, the rows are marked as Right Side (RS) and Wrong Side (WS). An easy way to think of this is that the: RS will only use the knit stitch / WS will use a combination of both the knit stitch and the purl stitch.
Remember to keep in garter stitch for the back section and stockinette for the sleeves and front.
After row 18 is completed - pat yourself on the back and realize that you are now on easy street after that short row section! You will really start knitting in the round and you will clearly see the front and sleeves are in stockinette and the back section is in garter. This division will continue until you have completed the sleeve section.
Once you have separated the sleeves from the body, the garter stitch will start to wrap around the front in the most stylish and flattering way due to strategically placed increases and decreases.
