You Can Knit Colorwork (4/18 & 4/25)

In this two-part class, we will knit the Rhinbeck Cowl by Patty Lyons. We will explore different colorwork techniques to find the one that works best for you. You will learn to read charts, catch floats, work with color dominance and explore techniques that are most comfortable for your knitting style.  An added bonus is discussion of color theory and choosing the colors that showcase your style!

Class Dates: Saturday, 4/18/26 and 4/25/26

Class Time: 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

This class is for the adventurous beginner who knows how to work the long-tail cast-on, the knit stitch, the purl stitch, and working in the round.

Materials Required (not included in class fee):

• Rhinebeck Cowl by Patty Lyons - pattern available for purchase on Ravelry
• 120 yards of worsted-weight yarn for the main color (Woolstok Worsted 50g)
• 110 yards of worsted-weight yarn for contrast color (You can use a solid color, such as Woolstok Worsted 50g, or a self-striping color, like Noro Kureyon or Noro Silk Garden)

Homework: Cast on and finish the ribbing before the first class.
