Create the perfect holiday stocking for yourself or a loved one. Making a stocking is a fun way to learn sock-making skills. The class is designed to create a medium-sized stocking using the Basic Christmas Stockings pattern by Churchmouse. The pattern is knit in the round and features a cuff-down design with an afterthought heel. No previous sock-knitting experience is required, but knowledge of how to knit in the round and work the knit and purl stitches is necessary.
Class Schedule:
- November 2, 12 pm - 2 pm - Start the cuff and discuss seamless jogs, embellishment techniques, and knitting in the round techniques (double points and magic loop)
- November 9, 12 pm - 2 pm - Placement of the afterthought heel and moving on to the foot section
- November 16, 12 pm - 2 pm - Toe decreasing, the heel, and the Kitchener Stitch.
