We are River Colors Studio . What are we like? We asked all of our staff what she or he thinks is important about River Colors. Here are some of their responses.

We pride ourselves on creativity.

That word "creativity" is rather general, but we think you will understand. You, our customers, are highly creative and we try to keep up with you. And you creative crafters are a tough act to follow! Suffice to say that we consider creativity important, and I assure you this staff is hugely, wildly, wondrously, wantonly creative!

We LOVE fiber and want you to be as excited about it as we are.

Each of us departed the Mainstream and found our way into this esthetic niche of fiber crafting as a way of life. We think this is a nice place to be, over here in the bubbling and exuberant microcosm of wools and alpacas and mohairs and colors.

We love and respect our environment.

Now THAT's for darn sure. Every River Colors Studion shares this sentiment and we are very active in cleaning up our environment. Come lunchtime, we cross over to the park along our famous Rocky River, eat our food, knit a bit, and PICK UP TRASH. You would be surprised how people keep dropping trash in a dirty area but when they come to a clean area, they dispose of it properly. We make a BIG difference. So can you.

We believe in traditions and sophistication.

We are WILD and CRAZY like our fibers!!

Somehow, these two attitudes coexist and blend, maybe not seamlessly, but in a comfortably complementary way. This is what makes us such a fun group.

We are service oriented and downright friendly.

That we are, for sure. Many's the time we have found ourselves upside down in a yarn box searching through a hundred skeins for that special code that matches your dye lot. And we will chat your ears off given half a chance.

Everything is fiber. Everything. That's right ... recycle ... cut up that plastic bag and knit, crochet or weave with it!

For one thing, recycling that plastic takes some strain off the planet. Also, waste is something we haven't the wit to use. This combines with our pride of creativity, and taa daa! The bread bag purse complements our ensemble.

We live and learn vicariously through your projects and ours.

WOW, how true this is! You have told us how your projects are out there in the cold cruel world battling the elements and keeping your loved ones warm and thriving. We LOVE to hear about your projects and what becomes of them when they leave your needles. It gives us great pleasure to have helped someone.

Every mistake is a creative opportunity.
