Beth has put together these powerhouse skill building workshops so that you can learn the basics of the "how to" and also to share amazing tips and tricks from her experiences, readings, and knitting passion. Pick one, pick two and if you pick three you get a great deal! You decide! We just want you to learn and enjoy. Each class is $25.00 or take all three at $60.00.

Reading Charts For Texture & Colors

Take this workshop and learn to read charts with ease. Participants will learn to follow a chart to create a swatch varying in texture and color.

  • Dates: Tuesday, October 2, 2018 
  • Time: 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
  • Materials Needed: 3 colors sport to worsted weight, appropriate needles, cable needle
  • Skills needed: Confident Beginner: must know cast-on, knit, and purl

Seaming & Picking Up

Necklines, button bands, and sweater seams, oh my! Tackle your knitting projects  and become the master of your skills. This workshop helps you learn and practice joining pieces of knitting with the mattress stitch and how to pick up the right number of stitches in the right places.

  • Dates: Tuesday, October 9,2018 
  • Time: 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
  • Materials Needed: Bring needles, extra yarn, a darning needle, and scissors
  • Homework:Make 4 swatches approximately 4" by 4", 2 in garter stitch (knit all stitches all rows) and 2 in stockinette (alternate rows of knitting and purling) out of smooth light colored yarn of dk or worsted weight. Bind-off loosely

Shaping-Short rows, increases and decreases

Shaping knitting: increases, decreases and short rows

Increase your knitting vocabulary and practice the numerous ways knits are shaped, paying particular attention to directional decreases and increases. Multiple techniques for short row shaping will be reviewed including wrap and turn, Japanese, German and twin stitch. Intended for newer knitters or those wanting to expand their skills.
