Juniper Moon Farm
Juniper Moon Farm is a real place, a working farm with fiber animals like Cormo, Cotswold and Babydoll Southdown sheep, as well as registered Angora goats. The project of Susan Gibbs, a former TV news producer, it is also the label for a commercial yarn line for which Susan serves as Creative Director. While not spun from the fleeces of the working farmís animals, the commercially-spun yarns reflect the same hands-on, do-it-yourself aesthetic that the original farm-based Yarn and Fiber CSA introduced to the world of fiber fanatics.

River Colors started our relationship with Juniper Moon Farm when we fell in love Herriott. Named after literatureís most beloved veterinarian, this DK-weight 100% baby alpaca first arrived at the store in gradient tones of natural alpaca fleece. We have since added Herriott Heathers, dyed colors in heathery tones on the same base.
We have also added Findley. This lovely laceweight is a 50/50 blend of merino and silk, which creates luster, strength and whisper-weight warmth. Spun in Italy, its two plies will show off lace patterns beautifully. With 798 yards in a ball and vibrant colors as well as neutrals, Findley is ideal for lace-weight patterns like Hannah Fettig's Featherweight Cardigan. With colors like a true white, dove and oyster, this yarn is also a perfect choice for heirloom-quality knits for weddings and baptisms.
Juniper Moon Farm also publishes great pattern support for their yarns and River Colors carries a selection of their current patterns for both Herriott and Findley.
