Colinette Yarns are truly inspiring -- in fact, River Colors Studio owes its existence in part to a sweater Erika saw knitted from Colinette's Point Five yarn! Created by owner Colinette Sansbury from the company's studio in Wales, these yarns are handpainted and incredibly unique. Colinette was one of the first companies to produce and distribute hand-dyed yarns to a mainstream market.

Whether you have just learned or have been knitting or crocheting for years, every project you create from a Colinette yarn will be a knock-out. Colinette's gorgeous handpainted colorways and textures allow the knitter or hooker to choose a simple construction and let the yarn do all the work!

COLINETTE

Colinette offers yarns in fibers and weights suitable for every possible project and season. Point Five is a thick-and-thin, 100% wool, super-bulky yarn that works up quickly with amazing results. Giotto is a lovely cotton and rayon ribbon reminiscent of subtle watercolor paintings. Prism is a plied, wool and cotton bulky yarn with a contrasting wrap. It would make a fantastic sweater as well as very special accessories. Jitterbug is one of the company's more recent offerings -- a smooth, plied, fingering weight sock yarn in the vivid colorways we have come to expect from Colinette.

These unique yarns are also supported by a bevy of interesting and beautiful patterns, many in simple silhouettes, so you are sure to find something to inspire you! Also very popular with our customers are the Absolutely Fabulous Throw Kits, which include patterns for four knitted throws, a crocheted throw, and a shawl and enough yarn to complete one of them.
